Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about BalanceWave Drive

1. What is BalanceWave Drive?

BalanceWave Drive is a cutting-edge device designed to optimize the performance of both ICE (internal combustion engine) and EV (electric vehicle) vehicles. It helps reduce energy consumption, enhances audio quality, and provides a smoother driving experience.

2. How much energy can I save with BalanceWave Drive?

BalanceWave Drive has been rigorously tested, providing an average energy savings of ~15% for ICE vehicles and >20% for EVs under controlled conditions. Actual savings may vary depending on driving habits and conditions.

3. How does BalanceWave Drive work?

BalanceWave Drive works by optimising the electrical waveform in your vehicle’s power system. By smoothing out noise, reducing high-frequency ripple, and improving current stability, it helps your vehicle use energy more efficiently — leading to better performance, smoother operation, and long-term energy savings.

Even after it is unplugged, these improvements in waveform stability persist for a period, helping to sustain benefits before the system gradually returns to its baseline state.

4. Will BalanceWave Drive affect the sound quality in my car?

Yes, BalanceWave Drive improves the audio experience by making the sound crisper and brighter, resulting in a more enhanced and enjoyable audio quality while driving.

5. Do I need a dedicated USB port for BalanceWave Drive?

For optimal performance, it is recommended to use a dedicated USB port for BalanceWave Drive. If only one USB port is available, you can use a USB splitter to share the port, although this may slightly reduce optimal results.

6. How soon will I see results after installing BalanceWave Drive?

In most cases, you will observe noticeable improvements, including smoother driving and enhanced audio quality, after some running in.

7. Do I need to unplug BalanceWave Drive when the car is turned off?

No, BalanceWave Drive can remain plugged in even when the vehicle is turned off. It will automatically resume operation when the vehicle is powered on again.

8. Does BalanceWave Drive work in all vehicles?

Yes, BalanceWave Drive is designed to work in both ICE vehicles and EVs using different product variants, enhancing the electrical system and improving overall efficiency.

9. Is BalanceWave Drive available with both 12V and 24V platforms?

Yes. BalanceWave Drive is available with standard automotive 12V platforms (common in passenger cars) as well as 24V platforms (typically found in commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses).  It can be customized for different platforms when required.

10. Does BalanceWave Drive consume power when the vehicle is off?

Power draw is minimal and typically negligible. Most modern vehicles cut USB power when the engine is off, and BalanceWave Drive is designed to operate only when the system is active. It is safe to leave it plugged in continuously.

11. How do I know if BalanceWave Drive is working?

The BalanceWave Drive device includes a low-intensity LED indicator that shows it is active and functioning. The LED is designed to draw minimal power and does not interfere with driving safety, ensuring it remains unobtrusive during both day and night driving.

12. Will installing BalanceWave Drive void my vehicle warranty?

No. BalanceWave Drive is a non-invasive, plug-and-play device that connects via the USB port – just like charging your handphone in the car.  It does not interfere with your vehicle’s original wiring, ECU, or powertrain systems. Since it draws minimal power and doesn’t alter any internal configurations, it will not void your warranty.

13. How is BalanceWave Drive tested in vehicles?

BalanceWave Drive is tested using structured protocols aligned with SAE J1321 standards, applicable to both light and heavy vehicle platforms.

For exampleo in small passenger vehicles, we adopt a single-vehicle A/B testing method based on SAE J1321 Type I. In this protocol, the vehicle completes a series of fixed-route loops without BWD installed (baseline), followed by the same loops after BWD installation (postline), using the same driver, route, and conditions. Fuel efficiency or electrical efficiency is then compared across the two phases.

This testing approach offers an accurate, repeatable, and internationally recognised method for validating BalanceWave Drive’s performance under real-world conditions, in alignment with globally adopted SAE J1321 standards.

14. Has BalanceWave Drive been tested and proven in real-world fleet operations?

Yes. BalanceWave Drive has been rigorously tested through certified circuit tests and real-world trials with Singapore’s leading Public Transport Operator.

In the certified circuit tests, BalanceWave Drive delivered 13% fuel savings for ICE vehicles and 23% electrical efficiency gains for EVs under mixed highway and city driving conditions. These results demonstrate BalanceWave Drive’s ability to deliver measurable cost savings, improved operational performance, and strong return on investment in real-world operations.

15. Does BalanceWave Drive interfere with in-vehicle systems?

No, it does not. BalanceWave Drive has passed SYRC Compliance Testing, conducted in collaboration with Singapore’s leading public transport operator. The tests verified that the device does not interfere with any onboard vehicle systems. It met all key compliance criteria — including GPS signal stability, network latency, data transmission integrity, and system integration safety — confirming that BalanceWave Drive operates safely alongside in-vehicle electronics.

16. Has BalanceWave Drive been tested in certified laboratories?

Yes. BalanceWave Drive has been independently validated under IEC 62764-1 standards through testing by an accredited laboratory. The results show that it significantly reduces electrical harmonics and high-frequency interference, lowers in-cabin magnetic field exposure (EMF), and enhances ride comfort by reducing vibration and cabin noise.

These outcomes translate into a more electrically efficient system, quieter, and stable driving experience, with smoother operation of sensitive systems like infotainment, ADAS, and battery management.

17. What safety and environmental certifications does BalanceWave Drive have?

BalanceWave Drive’s core technology is CE marked, UL certified, and compliant with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). These certifications confirm that BalanceWave Drive meets international standards for electrical safety and environmental responsibility. As a result, BalanceWave Drive is recognised as a safe, reliable, and eco-friendly solution for both individual users and commercial fleet operators — without compromising vehicle integrity or manufacturer compliance.

18. Can the BWD system be copied or reverse engineered?

No, it cannot be copied or reverse engineered.

The BWD system is permanently calibrated during production and locked in a way that ensures optimal performance.

If the casing is opened or tampered with, the system will lose its internal alignment and no longer function as designed. This is part of our built-in protection to ensure quality, safety, and authenticity.

BWD cannot be copied or reassembled by third parties — this protects both the customer and the product.

For this reason, we do not recommend unauthorised disassembly or third-party servicing. Warranty and performance guarantees apply only when the unit remains sealed and installed as per guidelines.
